An engagement ring is a special ring. An engagement ring indicates the wearer of the ring is engaged to get married. An engagement ring is offered by the person to the girl he adores as a proposal of marriage in western cultures. An engagement ring usually features a diamond or other gem stones. In western countries like USA and UK it is worn by women in the left ring finger. While is some cultures both man and woman wear it. Traditionally in USA and UK an engagement ring is worn in the fourth finger of the left hand. It is assumed that the fourth finger of the left hand the VENA AMORIS or ‘Veins of Love’. In Ukraine it is normal to wear the ring in the right hand. In Germany the ring is worn in the left hand while engaged but moved to the right hand after marriage. Similarly in Poland, the wedding ring is worn in the right hand.

No matter the difference in style or the way that it is worn an engagement ring designates the man’s love for lady. It has a real significance in the life of a couple. Since, the engagement ring is taken as the symbol of love men try and make it as special as practical. Some might go with the expensive ring with a huge diamond ring to express his affection for the ladies and some might go with a rather more conventional ring with higher value other then the financial worth of the ring. Whichever style engagement is, it is special and offered with tons of love.
